Our TEAM Event to help fight cancer was a HUGE success, despite an occasional thunderstorm, periodic downpours, and a TORNADO watch! 
This was the Hand in Hand Massage Network's third year participating in the RELAY FOR LIFE at Ocean County College.  Relay for Life is a TEAM event that raises money for the American Cancer Society in helping to find a CURE FOR CANCER.  Opening ceremonies began at 5 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2008 indoors, but we were allowed to set up at 6:00 pm.  The sun came out and the weather was perfect through the luminaria ceremony at 10:00 pm.  At 1:00 am, we were forced back indoors due to a thunderstorm, but that didn't deter the TEAM from continuing our mission.  We set up our chairs and tables in the Student Lounge and continued to massage until 5:30 am.  We raised $510.00 in massage donations, making our total donation to the Cancer Society this year over $4,800.00!!  AMAZING!!

It was a pleasure working with you all!  I truly appreciate your kindness, compassion and willingness to donate your time to help this cause!

AT CORTIVA INSTITUTE/SOMERSET SCHOOL OF MASSAGE THERAPY

Saturday, March 15th 9am-5pm
Student and graduate massage therapists joined together to raise money for the American Cancer Society! One hour relaxation massages were offered at the Wall clinic for a donation of $35 to the American Cancer Society.

We had a FULL Schedule and raised $4,081.00!!      It was truly an AMAZING DAY!!!!!

My heartfelt gratitude and thank you to all the Massage Therapists and Students who volunteered for a Great Cause!  It was heart warming to see the Teamwork and Camaraderie!  It is because of all of you that we reached our GOAL!
